The renovation of Zoo Atlanta’s lion habitat focuses on improving animal welfare, safety, and the guest experience. Work includes new shift doors and a chute for lion access, reconstruction of scenic rockwork, structural remediation, and earthworks to improve drainage. The project also features a new recirculating pool, upgraded glass viewing panels, regraded pathways, and a new upper viewing deck. These enhancements will create a healthier environment for the lions and a more engaging experience for visitors.
